In most cities, the common practice is that parking is allowed anywhere unless explicitly prohibited by signage or red-and-white curb markings. However, assuming parking resources are well-managed and regulatory pricing measures are implemented (even if, in some locations and times, parking remains free), it is advisable to shift to a system where parking is only permitted in designated and marked spaces.
Currently, the default assumption is that parking is allowed unless restricted. A more structured approach would be to mark only the areas where parking is explicitly permitted, ensuring better organization, enforcement, and accessibility. While this method is more commonly associated with highly regulated urban environments, it aligns with an effective parking management strategy that prioritizes efficiency and pedestrian accessibility.
